MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR

With direct reporting to the marketing and events manager, coordinate all of St. Louis Public Radio's on-air, online, in print and social media marketing and communications efforts. Develop effective marketing strategies and marketing plans and oversee the implementation of these strategies and plans on a limited budget. Develop and implement situational communication plans.

Write, manage, edit and post content for the station blog, Inside STLPR. Coordinate, and write, the station's annual report to the community. Write all station press releases and e-communications documents.

Write, design (conceptually), edit station marketing materials including forms, flyers, cards, letters, posters, e-communications, brochures, letterhead and other materials as needed. Use standard computer software to create and/or update graphic layouts for in-house graphic design projects and create a uniform station look.

Prepare and distribute station outreach materials. Initiate and prepare correspondence, reports and other materials. Create station marketing materials. Coordinate the distribution of St. Louis Public Radio marketing materials in public locations. Facilitate coordination of special development and fund raising projects as needed.

Coordinate St. Louis Public Radio events web page activity including: prepare and send information to the web page designer; monitor web page for timeliness and appropriateness. Prepare and process mailings, e-communications and special invitations for special events and marketing projects.

Assist in the planning, coordination and implementation of station special events and marketing and outreach projects. Handle pre- and post-event budget reconciliation. Directly oversee all Generation Listen STL events, including the signature MetroQuest event. Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, journalism, public relations or related area or equivalent combination of work experience and education is required. At least three to five years related experience is required. Must have excellent writing, copy editing and proofreading skills, including excellent spelling and grammar skills. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop InDesign, Illustrator and Dreamweaver preferred. Must possess basic knowledge of budgeting and budget reconciliation. Ability to work within content management systems is a must. Photography skills are desirable. Must be a self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with AP Style is a plus. Knowledge of public radio programs desirable.
