St. Louis Public Radio | 90.7 KWMU, St. Louis' NPR station located in Grand Center, is seeking a dynamic, strategic thinking full-time IT Support System Administrator to join our team. Responsibilities include administering, monitoring, and modifying software or applications, related tools and interfaces to help St. Louis Public Radio (STLPR) stay current with technological trends in the industry. This position installs, maintains, troubleshoots and upgrades various STLPR computer software systems and servers, makes recommendations regarding hardware and software acquisitions, assists with computer issues and peripherals including studio automation systems, prepares documentation, provides user assistance to staff, volunteers, interns, and other internal and external stakeholders, assists Engineering as needed, and performs related work as required.

The Support System Administrator is expected to provide technology support to any of the locations operated by St. Louis Public Radio, and be available for call-ins or to stay after normal business hours to address IT-related issues and emergencies that impact our 24/7 broadcast organization.


High School diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary.

Equivalent to completion of two years of college-level coursework in computer science, information technology or a related field and 1-2 years of general computer data base experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.

Must have good organizational and time management skills. Familiarity with desktop software applications, operating systems, and hardware. Strong verbal and written communication skills sufficient to interact with a variety of end users and other technical staff. Strong customer service skills.

Appreciation of public media is a plus.
