St. Louis Public Radio, an NPR Affiliate, seeks a part-time newscaster to prepare, write and deliver local newscasts on Saturday and Sunday mornings during "Weekend Edition."
The job also includes covering issues that matter to the St. Louis region and writing stories for on-air and online.
The ideal candidate should have an insatiably curiosity; a strong voice and conversational delivery; an ability to produce engaging news spots both for on-air and on-line. The position requires a highly productive individual, with a grasp of how global issues connect to the St. Louis region.
Bachelor's degree in communications or related area, and a minimum of two years newscasting experience is required. Successful previous public radio reporting and digital editing experience is desirable. Candidates for this position must meet STLPR's standard of NPR-style reporting, professional newscasting abilities; and excellent writing and editing skills.
