St. Louis Public Radio | 90.7 KWMU, St. Louis' NPR station, is seeking an Executive Producer of On-Demand Audio that will lead our efforts in on-demand audio journalism and storytelling, including: managing our portfolio of existing podcasts, creating new podcasts, experimenting with other on-demand audio formats and platforms; working with our revenue teams; and managing editorial, production, and distribution of our on-demand audio products. This is a new position at STLPR that offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic, award-winning organization.
A successful candidate will be passionate about audio production in a fast-changing digital media landscape, and will have experience in audio journalism and/or storytelling, such as podcasting or radio, including reporting, editing and production. An ideal candidate will have a deep background in audio and will have worked on a successful podcasting or broadcast operation, preferably news, documentary or program production. Experience with the business aspects of producing podcasts, programs or audio projects, the strong working knowledge of Adobe Audition or similar audio editing programs and a successful track record of leading, managing and mentoring talent and producers are desired in candidates seeking this Executive Producer job.
Minimum five years of hands-on experience in radio or audio, including at least four years of experience as a producer of podcasts and on-demand content, is required. Experience in editing or producing long form, non-linear and narrative pieces is preferred, as is the proven ability to successfully oversee, direct and guide others.
