ST. LOUIS PUBLIC RADIO POLITICAL REPORTER

St. Louis Public Radio Ė 90.7 KWMU, NPR Affiliate, seeks a full-time Political Reporter to plan, develop, and produce political/election-related news features and spots for broadcast during news and talk programming, and prepare and publish news content on stationís website and other social media platforms. Develop ideas for news stories, features, series, long-term projects, podcasts and other online initiatives. Research, write, produce and edit news stories. Conduct studio, remote, and phone interviews. Participate in station development and promotional functions. Perform related duties as assigned.
Bachelorís degree in communications, journalism or related area, and a minimum of two years reporting experience is required. A proven record of excellent political reporting is also required. Successful previous Public Radio reporting and digital editing experience is desirable. Experience using data to drive reporting and ability to produce visual elements for web stories using data is highly desirable. Candidates for this position must meet STLPRís standard of NPR-style reporting, conversational on-air delivery, and excellent writing and editing skills. Apply online only.
