From the Top to the bridge - a one-of-a-kind handmade guitar

With a body of African mahogany and a highly figured, book-matched maple top, this beautiful guitar was handmade by Ballwin luthier Dan O’Grady. Signed and numbered - one of only 3 instruments built in 2019 - it is also, one of Dan’s rare “named” instruments. “Oscar” may not be a grouch, but it certainly is the right color.

The 24.562” scale tigerwood fretboard has a 16” radius, with medium jumbo frets and black position markers, the nut is a low friction, long-wearing Tusq-XL, and the pickups are a matched set of direct mounted EMG Select humbuckers. All the clarity and punch of EMGs, but without the need for batteries. With more than 50 hours of build time, this instrument incorporates unique design elements including an environmentally friendly satin finish done completely by hand. It is a modern twist on a classic design.

Includes a case, information on the care and maintenance of the instrument for the new owner and contact information should the instrument ever need adjustment.
