Part-Time Weekend Announcer

St. Louis Public Radio | 90.7 KWMU, St. Louis’ NPR station, seeks up to two (2) part-time weekend announcers to prepare and deliver local content during various network and local programs and to operate a broadcast console and other related equipment. The hours for each Saturday and Sunday shift are noon to 7:00 p.m. Either Saturday or Sunday availability is required to apply, but applicants who are available both days should indicate that availability in their cover letters. The ideal candidate should have:
- an insatiably curiosity;
- a strong voice and conversational delivery;
- an ability to delivery engaging breaks;
- an appreciation of public media is a plus.
A minimum of one year experience in radio or online broadcasting experience is required. An Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is desired. Successful previous public radio announcing is also desirable. Candidates for this position must meet St. Louis Public Radio’s standard of NPR-style announcing that is conversational and engaging.
